The controversy over alleged manipulation of Jeon Hyun-moo's "spontaneous trip" on MBC's "I Live Alone" (hereinafter "I Live Alone") has ultimately led to a formal complaint being filed with the Broadcasting and Communications Ethics Committee.

On the 3rd, a verified post titled "Application for Broadcast Review of 'I Live Alone' Almaty Spontaneous Trip" spread across the online community ONLINE.

According to the post, the author submitted an application for broadcast review regarding the "I Live Alone" manipulation controversy through the National Ombudsman Office. The application requested verification of whether the content of the episodes titled "Jeon Hyun-moo's Unplanned Overseas Travel Challenge," which aired twice on the 14th and 21st of last month, aligned with actual facts. The applicant argued that it is necessary to examine Jeon Hyun-moo's initial flight ticket reservation, issuance, and payment timestamps; the actual filming times at airport scenes; correspondence and filming cooperation records between Almati city tourism authorities and MBC; preparatory materials provided by the production team prior to broadcast; and pre-broadcast self-review documents. The applicant also urged that if violations are confirmed, appropriate measures should be taken in accordance with relevant regulations.

Contrary to the "I Live Alone" production team's initial denial of having received any filming support or sponsorship, they recently reversed their stance, escalating the controversy. They stated, "We did not receive any financial sponsorship or production funding. However, we obtained administrative procedures necessary for local filming and cooperation for on-site production."
