Pop artist and broadcaster Nancy Rang (50, real name Park Hye-ryung), who was caught on suspicion of drunk driving, refuted parts of the reports by stating she was not "drunk."

On the 8th, Nancy Rang told StarNews, "There are parts of the currently reported content that differ from the facts," adding, "I did not go to the police station after being processed early today (the 8th), nor was I taken into custody or processed. With the help of an acquaintance, I returned home safely."

She continued, "While I admit that driving after having one or two glasses of champagne at an acquaintance's birthday gathering yesterday (the 7th) was a careless judgment on my part," she emphasized that terms like 'drunk,' 'arrested,' 'processed,' and 'taken to the police station' do not reflect the actual situation.

Nancy Rang's agency, Megaton Entertainment, also explained, "They measured her alcohol level when she was almost home. She had one or two glasses of champagne. It was not at a level of drunkenness that would lead to license revocation."

Earlier, MBN reported on the morning of the 8th that Nancy Rang was caught by police on suspicion of drunk driving. According to MBN, around 3:45 a.m., she faced allegations of drinking and driving in Seoul Gangnam-gu. The media outlet added, "It is understood that her blood alcohol concentration at the time was at a level warranting license revocation."

Police plan to investigate the specific details of the incident.
