Actress Lee Cheong-ah, who sustained injuries in a traffic accident, is currently discussing withdrawing from her upcoming project.

On the 18th, Lee Cheong-ah's agency Management Forest told StarNews, "It is true that Lee Cheong-ah was involved in a traffic accident," and added, "She is currently discussing withdrawal from the project."

According to a report by MyDaily on that day, Lee Cheong-ah was involved in a traffic accident while traveling for drama filming last month. It is reported that her already poor back condition worsened due to this accident.

After the accident, Lee Cheong-ah continued filming at the set of 'Obedient Killer' while undergoing treatment. Given her strong determination toward the project, she attempted to continue filming despite pain, but it is known that medical professionals recently diagnosed her with a need to minimize movement for over a month.

The production team also postponed Lee Cheong-ah's filming schedule and waited for her recovery, but it is reported that they have decided withdrawal is being discussed as returning to normal filming in the short term appears difficult.

Meanwhile, Lee Cheong-ah was preparing to return to television with 'Obedient Killer' after appearing in 'Honor: Their Court,' which aired last February.

'Obedient Killer' is a work depicting the story of a woman whose sole life goal was being an ideal wife and mother, who unexpectedly takes on a job to survive in the world outside her greenhouse. Set in the 1970s–1980s, this pure and melancholy noir genre drama is directed by Lee Jeong-heum PD of 'Gugyeong-i' and 'Our Movie,' with screenwriting by Joo Hwa-mi, writer of 'Not a Hero.'
