EJAE, a star of the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," and producer Sam Kim held their wedding ceremony in Korea.

On the 19th (local time), U.S. fashion magazine Vogue revealed scenes from EJAE's and Sam Kim's wedding ceremony, which took place on the 17th in Seoul, along with an interview with the couple.

Initially, the couple had planned to hold their wedding in California, U.S., in November this year, but after consultation, they changed the location to Korea and moved up the date to October. Prior to this, they attended the 16th Beautiful Artist Awards ceremony held on the 15th at Stage28 in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, where they celebrated their maternal grandfather Shin Young-kyun's 70th wedding anniversary.

EJAE said, "We had only about four months left to prepare for the wedding. It was hectic and a bit stressful, but thanks to preparing together, everything fell perfectly into place."

In particular, EJAE added significance by holding the ceremony in a house in Seoul where her grandfather, veteran actor Shin Young-kyun, once lived. She stated, "My grandparents lived here when I was young. I spent much of my childhood in the garden and walked up the hill behind the house with my grandfather."

She continued, "My older brother also got married here," explaining that it is a place of special significance to the family.

Before the main ceremony, the couple performed the pebaek ritual, a traditional Korean wedding custom. Grandfather Shin Young-kyun and grandmother Kim Sun-hee attended to bless the couple's future.

EJAE shared, "My grandparents have been married for 70 years. It was more meaningful than anything else that they initiated the pebaek ritual."

At the wedding, EJAE wore a custom-made wedding dress and added special meaning by wearing jewelry that had been passed down to her from her grandmother and mother.

The ceremony took place in the garden amidst the blessings of family and friends. EJAE expressed her feelings, saying, "I will never forget the moment I walked toward my groom, surrounded by love and support from my closest friends and family."

She added, "I am proud that everyone had a truly enjoyable time at our wedding," and "We are sincerely grateful to the family and friends who came from all over the world to celebrate our marriage."

Meanwhile, EJAE gained attention for participating in the OST production and vocals for the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters" (hereinafter referred to as "KPDH"), which sparked a global craze.
