Jimin of the boy group BTS has claimed first place in the Star Ranking Male Idol category.
In the 220th Star Ranking Star Idol Male poll, which ran from 3:01 p.m. on the 8th to 3:00 p.m. on the 15th, Jimin took first place, surpassing 2PM’s Junho and BTS’s Jin. In this round of voting, Jimin received 83,624 votes. Junho ranked second with 46,296 votes, followed by Jin in third place with 28,363 votes.
Star Ranking is a fan-driven voting system in which fans directly vote for their favorite stars to determine the rankings. Fans who vote via mobile can receive a voting certificate, and depending on the results, various benefits are awarded to the ranked stars.
A star who ranks first for four consecutive weeks is featured in an outdoor electronic billboard advertisement. Fans of a four-week consecutive No. 1 star can also support the artist by producing a fan-support video for the outdoor billboard.
