The long-running domestic variety show 'Running Man' is airing a special episode to celebrate its 800th broadcast.

The SBS entertainment program 'Running Man,' which aired on the 26th, was produced as the first variety show to reach 800 episodes, with filming taking place in Yeju, Gyeonggi Province.

On the day, the members began the opening alongside a coffee truck commemorating the 800th episode. Haha was introduced as the only member to have appeared in every episode from the first to the 800th.

Subsequently, the production team had the members choose either 'Up' or 'Down' in sequence, starting with Yoo Jae-suk. As a result, Kim Jong-kook, Haha, Ji Seok-jin, Yang Se-chan, and Ji Ye-eun chose 'Up' and received picnic baskets containing coffee and sweet potato bread, while Yoo Jae-suk and Song Ji-hyo chose 'Down' and took their seats on the left-side blanket.

Attention also focused on Ji Ye-eun's on-screen behavior, following recent rumors of a romantic relationship.

This race is themed 'Accumulate Without Limits According to Your Fate.' Depending on the choice, participants are divided into a 'Favorable Fate Course' and an 'Unfavorable Fate Course,' with 'Up' choosers moving along the advantageous course and 'Down' choosers moving along the disadvantageous course.

Additionally, donations are accumulated at a rate of 500,000 won per person based on the number of members on the 'Favorable Fate Course,' totaling 2.5 million won at the opening.

Meanwhile, the results of the 800th episode special and the final donation amount will be revealed in the main broadcast.
