Broadcaster Seo Jang-hoon expressed anger toward a male contestant who changed his mind about marriage, citing issues with communication from his girlfriend.

In the episode of JTBC's "Love War" broadcast on the 19th, the story of a man who promised to marry his girlfriend after she waited for him during his military service, but whose feelings changed after his discharge, was revealed.

On this day, the male contestant, Se-hoon, stated that while he was in the military, his girlfriend, Na-hyun, attended a festival and could not be reached for four hours on the first day and eight hours on the second day. He explained that although he asked her the next day why she had not been reachable, the first word she said back was "Why?" Recalling the situation at the time, Se-hoon said his heart collapsed and that his trust in his girlfriend had wavered.

Hearing this, Seo Jang-hoon said, "Wait a minute, I'm sorry, but I can't just sit here quietly. Where should I demand compensation for my mental damages today?" expressing his bewilderment. He then raised his voice, saying, "Earlier, you clearly said you would understand if it turned out he had gone to a motel for something like this, so what are you doing now?"

Seo Jang-hoon pointed out that the girlfriend was being excessively criticized simply because she could not leave messages. He stated, "Doesn't that mean I have to leave a message once an hour? Since we are human, we might forget or be unable to send one, but I cannot understand why you treat it as if she committed a mortal sin and refuse to understand."

In response, Se-hoon explained that he had asked his girlfriend to leave messages properly because he was worried about her.

However, Lee Hyo-ri pointed out that simple worry and distrust toward the other person are different things. She said, "You were able to reach each other the next day, and nothing happened, right?" and added, "Mr. Se-hoon, you are not angry because you were worried about Ms. Na-hyun; you are angry at the very fact that she made you worry."

She further explained, "If you had truly been worried, you would have been concerned for eight hours when you couldn't reach her, but then felt relieved that nothing happened, and it should have ended there." Lee Hyo-ri noted that the boyfriend's attitude felt like he was trying to hold his girlfriend accountable and punish her, pointing out the problem with their recurring conflicts.
