Singer and producer Park Jin-young makes a surprise comeback on the 23rd with his new single "WET," igniting the summer of 2026.

Park Jin-young will unveil his new song "WET" on the 23rd, brimming with the heat of midsummer.

"WET" is Park's first summer song in about six years since his 2020 release "When We Disco (Duet with Sunmi)." The track has been selected as the main theme song for Korea's leading summer festival, "Waterbomb 2026" (hereinafter "Waterbomb").

Following last year, Park is expected to take the Seoul and Busan stages of "Waterbomb" once again this year, raising the atmosphere of a summer festival enjoyed under the scorching sun to its peak. Having been at the center of attention at "Waterbomb 2025" for his radical hot pink vinyl fashion and overwhelming performance, Park Jin-young is fully armed with confident remarks such as "I am the protagonist of 'Waterbomb' again this year," eagerly awaiting the day he takes the stage.

In a video released on the official YouTube channel of "Waterbomb" on the 14th, Park Jin-young said, "This outfit seems like it will be even more explosive than last year's. New fabrics are appearing. Vinyl will disappear into history," previewing an upgraded level of radicalism. He added, "Thanks to 'Waterbomb,' I was able to release a new summer song after six years. It is a song that fits 'Waterbomb' and features a reggae tone perfectly suited for summer," expressing his expectations.

On the 9th, the "WET" challenge audio was pre-released via official SNS channels. With simple yet eye-catching choreography that stirs the desire to follow along, the song's success is being anticipated. Meanwhile, artists who have joined the "Waterbomb 2026" lineup alongside Park Jin-young are also joining the new song challenge by the veteran of the music industry, further heating up the atmosphere. Already, WJSN's Dayoung, Billy, 82MAJOR, Kiss of Life, Mayday, and Kickflip have participated to boost the excitement.
