Global girl group KATSEYE under HYBE-Geffen Records will release their new single 'Animal' at 1 p.m. (Korean time) on the 24th.

On the 21st, KATSEYE unexpectedly unveiled the music video teaser for 'Animal' on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel. The teaser offers glimpses of the members' sensuality, quirky charm, and a mysterious storyline all at once.

The video begins with Megan entering an office wearing a red mini dress and a black leather jacket. Sophia, Lara, and Yoonchae display sophisticated charisma in their unusual office looks, exchanging meaningful glances, while Daniela playfully winks. The members' contrasting styles—shortcuts paired with suits, high heels, and glamorous dresses—leave a powerful impression.

Curiosity intensifies regarding the new story KATSEYE will tell. The word 'Freaky' appears in the teaser. It is written on red nail polish placed over someone's smile and lips. The nails are unnervingly long and sharp. Following this, lyrics and a melodic phrase flow: "Keep your secret safe with me."

The single cover image released alongside the music video teaser also draws attention. Against a backdrop of light and shadow shaped like window frames, a figure wearing a leather trench coat and stiletto heels lowers their body while resting their hands on the floor. The vivid contrast between red and black colors and the boldly extended silhouette evoke classic spy films and captivating suspense dramas.

KATSEYE is a team that debuted in the United States in 2024, based on HYBE's multi-home, multi-genre strategy led by Chairman Bang Si-hyeok and K-pop methodology. In less than two years since their debut, they have rapidly built their presence by consecutively appearing on stages at major music festivals such as Lollapalooza and Coachella, as well as key award ceremonies. Notably, in May, they achieved a triple crown, including 'New Artist of the Year,' at one of America's three major pop music award shows, the 2026 American Music Awards. Previously, they were also nominated in two categories at the 68th Grammy Awards.
