As the movie 'COLONY' opened at the top of the box office, attention has also turned to the child actor.

On the 21st, a screenshot of a post from the online community ONLINE was shared on child actor Choi Woo-jin's SNS, along with the message: "Not AI. I am Choi Woo-jin, born in 2012. The child actor for actor Gu Gyeo-hun."

Earlier, a netizen who watched the movie COLONY posted on an online community, asking, "Is the child actor for 'COLONY' Gu Gyeo-hun an AI? The child actor looks exactly like Gu Gyeo-hun." It appears that Choi Woo-jin's mother, who played the young version of Seo Young-cheol (played by Gu Gyeo-hun) in the film, responded directly.

Released on the 21st, 'COLONY' is a film about isolated survivors inside a building sealed off due to an unidentified infectious outbreak, fighting against infected individuals evolving in unpredictable ways.

Choi Woo-jin, who played the young version of actor Gu Gyeo-hun, attended the VIP screening of 'COLONY' and said, "I auditioned last winter. I suddenly remembered the day I was overjoyed to hear that I had been cast as 'young Seo Young-cheol'."

She continued, "It was truly a grateful and honorable time to be the child actor of the wonderful actor Gu Gyeo-hun and to be part of director Yeon Sang-ho's work. I will keep these moments, filled with both tension and excitement, as another precious memory." She added, "It is a truly very fun and immersive movie, so we ask for your interest and viewership."

Meanwhile, 'COLONY' drew 199,759 viewers on its opening day, securing the number one spot at the box office. This is the highest opening score among films released this year.
