Kim So-young, formerly an MBC announcer, announced the closure of her cookie business.

On the 26th, while communicating with fans, Kim So-young shared news that she was shutting down her cookie business.

One fan asked, "I was surprised by how heavy the cookies were as soon as I received them and amazed by their taste. I was very disappointed to hear about the closure."

In response, Kim So-young said, "Looking back now, although I seemed cautious, I may have been the type who just jumped in without knowing much," adding, "Reflecting on 10 years of running this business, anyone with even a basic understanding of business structure would not have been able to sustain a cookie business."

Kim So-young further stated, "Even with high sales, we were operating at a loss," explaining, "Because we made them carefully and slowly, we used a lot of labor and kept purchasing ingredients like baking powder."

She added, "I believe there are no substitutes because there was truly nothing left to sell," and noted, "Going forward, I do not plan to engage in any business involving direct food production."

Meanwhile, Kim So-young married Oh Sang-jin in 2017, welcomed her first daughter in 2019, and gave birth to her second son last April.

Kim So-young joined MBC as an announcer in 2012, resigned in 2017, and is currently operating her own personal brand. Recently, she successfully secured a 7 billion won investment from a well-known investment firm.
