Actor Kwon Sang-woo and his wife, actress Son Tae-young, announced that their 17-year-old son, Luk-hee, has obtained a driver's license in the United States.

On the 13th, the YouTube channel 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young' uploaded a video titled "Clam grilling in the U.S.? Son Tae-young and Kwon Sang-woo, a close couple, go on a date with their children (BTS concert)."

On that day, Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young shared updates about their son Luk-hee, who recently obtained his driver's license.

Kwon Sang-woo revealed that after receiving his license, Luk-hee went out driving with friends in their own cars. He explained that the group met up separately by car, spent time together, and returned home safely.

As this was Luk-hee's first solo drive, his parents were naturally concerned. Son Tae-young confirmed her son's arrival via text messages and later expressed relief upon learning that he had parked safely.

Details about the process of obtaining the driver's license also emerged. Son Tae-young explained that taking the driving test in the U.S. was somewhat different from Korea, noting that the waiting time for administrative procedures was longer than the actual test itself.

With Luk-hee now driving himself, changes have begun to appear in Son Tae-young's daily routine.

Previously responsible for her son's school commute, Son Tae-young said she now has more flexibility in her schedule. Kwon Sang-woo also expressed that he feels the shift in their daily life as he watches his son grow into someone who can drive independently.

Meanwhile, Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young married in 2008 and have two children: a son, Luk-hee, and a daughter, Ri-ho. The family currently resides in New Jersey, United States.
