Ahn Hee-yeon (Hani), formerly of girl group EXID, shared her thoughts on her return with the new KBS 2TV weekend drama "Love Is Coming."

On the 16th, Ahn Hee-yeon appeared in a script reading video for "Love Is Coming" released via the KBS drama YouTube channel. In the video, she was shown participating in the script reading.

Regarding "Love Is Coming," Ahn Hee-yeon said, "It is a warm story where many diverse characters appear; although they have different personalities and often clash, they comfort each other."

Continuing, she spoke about her role as Han Gyu-rim: "She is an incredibly strong and loving character, admirable in every way. Just watching her brings comfort and makes you want to cheer for her. As the story unfolds, Gyu-rim grows. I was very happy and delighted with the direction of her growth. I felt I could do my absolute best for such a Gyu-rim, and that is what gave me the courage."

Ahn Hee-yeon added, "Although Gyu-rim and I share many similarities, we also differ greatly, so I am making efforts to bridge that gap. Many things are happening, and I am deeply contemplating how Gyu-rim will perceive them and what meaning various people will have for her."

Meanwhile, Ahn Hee-yeon had suspended her activities due to controversy surrounding her fiancé, Yang Jae-woong. Yang Jae-woong had operated a hospital in Bucheon specializing in psychiatry and alcohol addiction treatment. At that hospital, a 30-something female patient admitted in 2024 for diet pill addiction treatment complained of abdominal pain due to acute pseudo-obstruction but was left tied up in an isolation room and died. Following this incident, the hospital received a three-month suspension order, ceased operations, and eventually closed.

The two had planned to marry in September 2024, but the wedding was postponed due to this controversy.
