Maeil Holdings and Maeil Dairies will open the curtain on the 'Maeil Selects Cup 31st Korea Senior Open Golf Championship' from November 3 to 6, a four-day event held at 'Gochang Country Club' in Gochang County, North Jeolla Province.

Now in its 31st year, the 'Korea Senior Open' is a national senior title tournament boasting the highest authority and tradition in South Korea, featuring professional and amateur golfers aged 50 and above from both domestic and international circuits. In particular, this year's event has significantly elevated its stature by expanding the total prize money to 300 million won, the largest scale for a domestic senior tournament.

The tournament will begin with qualifying rounds on Tuesday, November 3, followed by the first round of the main event on Wednesday, the 4th, and the second round on Thursday, the 5th. Players ranked within the top 50 will advance to the final round, competing in a 54-hole stroke play format through Friday, the 6th, for the championship trophy.

Especially on the morning of the 4th, when the first round begins, Shim Deok-seop, Mayor of Gochang County; Kwon Tae-hoon, CEO of Maeil Holdings; Park Jae-hyung, Executive Director of the Korea Golf Association; and Kim Hyeong-geun, CEO of Gochang CC, among others, are scheduled to attend a ceremonial first tee event to wish for the successful hosting of the tournament and regional mutual prosperity.

Unprecedented gallery benefits and abundant on-site events have also been prepared for golf fans. Galleries holding tournament tickets will be able to freely watch the matches throughout the four-day tournament period. Furthermore, by presenting these tickets, they can enjoy a special benefit of free admission to 'Sangha Farm,' a representative tourist attraction in Gochang, until December 31 this year.

A Maeil Dairies official, speaking on the phone with this outlet, stated, "The passion of senior golfers who constantly challenge themselves on the field resonates with the philosophy of Maeil Dairies and Selects, which aim for a healthy life."
